Fête is looking for a leader in the front of house, a classic Maître d' / Floor Manager. Fête is a Seasonal New American neighborhood restaurant with local roots and a global outlook—where classic techniques meet island flavors & ingredients at their best. Our culinary point of view showcases the dishes we crave, using cooking methods from many cultures that all lead to simple, delicious cuisine. Who you are: An integral member of the restaurant’s service team, the Maître d' / Floor Manager is a welcoming, multitasking person who greets every guest in the restaurant, excels at hospitality and quick decision making, and thrives in a busy workplace. What you’ll do: Responsible for managing flow of service and leading the floor team through a smooth, well executed lunch or dinner service. Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for all guests. Assist all members of the front of house team in daily service. Managereservations through OpenTable,optimizing seating to accomodate reservations and walk-ins. Communicate with fellow managers needs and experiences arising from daily service. What we need from you: excellent communication skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks at one time. Previous restaurant experience required, also experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems.You should have a strong base knowledge of wine, with an emphasis or interest in natural low-intervention wines.
